Privacy Policy

How information is used when you browse LicenseCage, order software licenses or contact our team.

Last updated:

1. What this policy covers

This policy describes how LicenseCage uses information in connection with its website and software licensing services. LicenseCage is the service brand responsible for responding to the privacy enquiries described here.

The main website presents software information and prices. Account registration, orders, invoices and tickets are handled through the LicenseCage client area. The reseller panel and documentation are separate service areas. This policy describes the relevant information flows; it does not mean every page collects all the information listed below.

2. Information used by the service

The information involved depends on whether you only browse, place an order or ask for support.

  • Browsing information: IP address, requested pages, request time, browser or device information and technical error or security records generated when serving the website.
  • Account and order information: the name, email, contact and billing details you submit, services ordered, invoices, transaction references and account communications.
  • Licensing information: the server IP, software product, service identifier and activation or renewal information needed to manage a license. A server IP may be personal data where it can be linked to an individual.
  • Support information: messages, service references, error reports and the diagnostic details you choose to share. Send only what is needed and remove unrelated customer data from logs.
  • Reseller information: account details, license orders and integration records associated with your reseller activity. Protect API credentials and avoid including customer passwords in support requests.

3. Why information is needed

We use account, order and licensing information to respond to enquiries, provide purchased services, manage activation and IP changes, issue invoices and handle renewals or support. Technical information is used to deliver pages, investigate errors, prevent misuse and protect the service.

Where data-protection law requires a lawful basis, the relevant grounds depend on the activity: taking steps towards or performing a contract for orders and support; legal obligations for records we must keep; and legitimate interests in operating and securing the service, balanced against your rights. Any optional activity requiring consent must be presented with a genuine choice.

Service messages such as invoices, security notices and support replies are connected with the account or order. They should not be confused with optional marketing. This website does not include a newsletter sign-up or advertising-pixel integration.

4. Payments and third-party services

The main website does not take payment-card details. It links to the client-area checkout, where the available payment provider handles the selected payment method. Review the payment provider’s information and privacy notice before submitting payment details. LicenseCage uses the resulting order, invoice, payment status and transaction reference to manage your purchase.

Operating a licensing service can involve infrastructure hosts, delivery and security providers, account and support systems, payment providers and licensing infrastructure. Relevant information is shared only as needed for the service or where disclosure is required by law. This can include the server IP and license identifier needed for activation.

Tawk.to provides the embedded support chat on this website. WhatsApp is opened only when you follow its contact link. Links to WhatsApp, software publishers and other external websites take you to services with their own privacy practices. Opening a link or contacting a provider directly is different from browsing this site. Do not put sensitive account credentials into a WhatsApp message.

5. Cookies and browser storage

The storefront uses Vercel Web Analytics for aggregated page-view and visitor statistics. Vercel describes this service as using no third-party analytics cookies and no persistent cross-site visitor identifiers. Statistics can include page paths, referrers, approximate country, browser and device type. Our software filters and menu choices operate within the page.

The client area, reseller panel, payment providers and infrastructure providers may use cookies or similar technology for sign-in, checkout, session continuity or security. Review the relevant service before using it. You can control cookies through browser settings, although blocking essential cookies may stop sign-in or checkout from working.

The embedded Tawk.to live-chat service can process technical visit information and use cookies or browser storage to keep a support conversation working. Messages and any contact information you enter are processed through Tawk.to so our team can respond. Do not send passwords, private keys or payment-card details in chat. Provider information is available at https://www.tawk.to/privacy-policy/ and https://vercel.com/docs/analytics/privacy-policy. If additional tracking is introduced, we will explain its purpose and any applicable choices.

6. Keeping and protecting information

Information is kept for the time needed for its purpose, including providing an active service, maintaining necessary billing records, resolving a dispute and meeting applicable legal obligations. The relevant period depends on the record and any legal requirement; this policy does not promise immediate deletion of all account information on cancellation. Contact us to ask about a particular record.

Access should be limited to the people and providers who need it for their work. Use a strong account password and the available account security controls. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, so tell us promptly if you suspect an account compromise.

Do not send full card numbers, passwords or private keys in ordinary messages. If support needs server access, ask for an appropriate secure method and remove access when the work is complete.

7. Processing locations

Internet hosting, account systems, payment services and licensing infrastructure may process information in a different country from the one where you live. The relevant locations and protections depend on the providers used for your service. Contact us if you need information about a particular service or transfer. Any legally required transfer protections must apply before a restricted transfer takes place.

8. Your choices and privacy requests

You can ask us to explain the personal information associated with your account or correct inaccurate details. Depending on the law that applies, you may also have rights to access, deletion, restriction, portability or objection, and to withdraw consent where consent is the basis for an activity. These rights are subject to their legal conditions.

Use the contact page or an authenticated account ticket to make a request. We may need proportionate information to verify your identity before disclosing or changing account data. Do not send identity documents unless we explain why they are needed and how to provide them.

Some information is necessary to provide a license or keep a required billing record. We will explain if a request cannot be fully completed. You may also raise a concern with the data-protection authority responsible for your jurisdiction.

9. Children

The licensing service is intended for adults and authorised business users, not children under 18. If you believe a child has submitted personal information to us, contact LicenseCage so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

10. Policy updates

We will update this page when the website or relevant information practices change. The date at the top shows when this wording was last revised. Where a material change affects existing customers, any notice required by applicable law will be provided through the account or its contact details.
